not speaking too soon
It has been a couple of days since the power outage, yet I still managed to escape unscathed. However, I have been busy doing all sorts of things, meaning I will not have a chance to post in detail about the short boat cruise I took Thursday or about my upcoming trip to Europe. I leave this evening, not this morning, as in my itinerary, which I sent to those I'll be meeting during my trip or who are otherwise worried about my well-being. In short, here's the plan:
- fly to London
- fly to Dubrovnik
- go to a conference and present a poster that I just finished yesterday
- return to London and go to Oxford
- meet up with a Michigan acquaintance
- return to London and meet up with a Moscow friend
- take the train to Brussels and then Leuven
- attend a conference in a castle
- return to London
- fly back to Moscow
Sorry I've been such a slacker—I will owe so many photos when I return!

Hmm, you don't sound like a slacker to me!
For your photos, which have been great, by the way, give Flickr a try. I've been using it this week and have pretty much decided I'm going to upgrade to the Pro account, but the free account is pretty cool.
