farewells

Today was my last Russian class. I really wanted a photo of me with Валерия Васильевна, my individual instructor for the past four and a half months, but she wouldn't let anyone take a photo of us. I was really disappointed since she's such a great teacher and I wanted some way to remember her. I'll just have to rely on my memory.

But I don't feel so bad now that I came back home and was reminded of the present I received yesterday from the American Center for being so active there. Have you ever seen such a large box of chocolate?

I'm sitting in the living room of the apartment where I've been living since May.
