suing NASA, the skinny on Sheremetyevo-2
So many funny quotes in this story:
"Russian Astrologer Sues NASA, Tries to Stop Deep Impact Mission"
Thanks to my host family for pointing out this story.
In telling about my trip to Scandinavia, I forgot to tell about my experience at Sheremetyevo-2, the main international airport in Russia. When departing the country on international flights, you have to go through one metal detector to enter the building, one to get to check-in, and one to get to your gate. But you only have to show you passport at passport control (between the second and third security checkpoints), and you never have to take off your shoes or coat.
There's a significant shortage of seating in the airport, so I hope if Moscow wins the 2012 Olympic bid, they'll at least put in some more seats.

I thought it would be automatically updated and forgot to look carefully, but this MovableType stuff is pretty literal about its markup!
eriC, good to see you're still as difficult as I remember you.
